Put the light on me !!!

The movie Quarantine starring Jennifer Carpenter from the hit TV series on Showtime is actually rather good. I was surprised as far as horror movies go and was kept in suspense thought most the film. Yes things are going to jump out of you in the dark and start chasing people. The whole film is shot from the first person perspective with Jennifer Carpenter, playing a TV news reporter being followed around by her camera man played by ,on an emergency call with the local Los Angles fire department. They end up going to a building on a call where people have reported a horrible scream coming from one of the upstairs apartments where Mrs. Espinoza lives. When they go to check her out she ends up attacking one the police officers . They pin down Mrs. Espinoza and rush him down stairs only to see that they have been locked in from the outside and unable to escape.Well all the people inside start to panic trying to escape the building because they have no idea why they have been locked in the first place. Jennifer Carpenter plays a great panicked woman through out the film , it might seem a little cheesy now and then but, I hardly think anyone wouldn’t be a little frantic with the circumstances she has been put in . Dark lighting and constant chaos make this a great film to see for Halloween.

All I see is a bright white light.

Have you ever wondered why what it would be like to go blind? Well in the movie Blindness, it can give you a small experience based on what Fernando Meirelles would think it would be like to go blind. Not only just blind though with the whole world falling into blindness. The movie stars Julianne Moore who is the main character. It starts off with a man all of a sudden while driving falls into instant blindness. He is stuck and traffic and in a panic and doesn’t know what to do . So a good Samaritan offers to drive him home and takes advantage of him and steals his car afterward . Little does good Samaritan know he got more than the car for his payment for his good deed. So the blind man goes to doctor played by Mark Ruffalo, he is totally stumped on how he can go blind so quickly. He preforms test after test, and comes up with no conclusion on what could be the cause of such catastrophic blindness.

The next morning the Doctor wakes up and finds out he has been struck with this catastrophic blindness as well. Well he tries to get help and it turns out to be an epidemic. He then he gets thrown into a quarantine camp with his wife Julianne Moore, who claims she is blind right when they come pick him up, because she doesn’t want to leave his side. Well it turns out slowly more and more people come to the quarantine camp . Julianne Moore ends up helping everyone she can around the camp without disclosing her being able to see to anyone except, her husband.

The rest of the movie you are just going to have to see for yourself. This movie I thought was very suspenseful and well cast. Exciting and provoking through out the film. There are some shocking scenes if you are sensitive to violent films this isn’t the one for you. It does give you an idea on what would happen if you were struck with a very contagious disease in America or anywhere for that matter.
